Workshops

How much does the workshop cost?

Pricing depends on the format (online or in person) and which tier you choose, and most tiers include coaching and membership. For current pricing and exactly what is included, visit the workshop page that fits you.

How do I know if this workshop is for me?

Are you willing to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING it takes to save your marriage or make your marriage better than it is now? If you answered yes to this question, the workshop is for you.

What happens at a Marriage Helper Workshop?

Our workshops (available online or in person) are immersive, interactive experiences where you’ll learn proven principles to save and strengthen your marriage. Whether you attend alone or with your spouse, you’ll leave with clear direction, hope, and actionable steps.

Do I need to divulge my history?

The workshop is an education-based environment. That means you only listen to the information. At no time do we ask participants to explain their personal issues. This is not group therapy or counseling. It is only education.

Are the workshops based on the Christian faith?

Our workshops are based on social sciences, and we work with couples from all religions and walks of life. Everyone is respected and the principles outlined in the workshop are helpful for anyone looking to save or strengthen their marriage.

Where are the workshops located?

People travel from all over the world to attend our in-person workshops in Nashville, Tennessee. We also offer online workshops for those who prefer to attend from the comfort of home. You can see upcoming dates on the workshop pages below.

What is the difference between yours and another similar 3-day program?

When choosing a marriage program, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. While some other programs may be less expensive or don’t require travel, you might not get the same results. The Couples Turnaround Workshop has a 70% success rate, and 99% of attendees would recommend the program. We’ve worked with thousands of people, and we’d love to work with you too.

What is the difference between the online and in-person workshop?

Both workshops have the same content and effectiveness. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for your situation.

What technology do we need to participate?

Online workshops are hosted via Zoom. In order to take part, you will need a computer and a stable internet connection.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer scholarships for active duty service members and veterans of the United States military, and for first responders including law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs. We also have a scholarship approval process for those who demonstrate genuine financial need. All applicants are expected to contribute toward the services, as we do not provide full funding for scholarship participants. For pricing and what is included, see the workshop pages below.

Can I attend a workshop if my spouse won’t come?

Absolutely. Many people attend solo, and they still see powerful results. In fact, some of our greatest reconciliation stories began with just one spouse attending.

My spouse won’t go, what can I do?

It’s not uncommon to have one spouse who doesn’t want to attend the workshop. We understand. However, even if that spouse doesn’t want to save the marriage, 99% of attendees still say it’s one of the best things they ever did. If your spouse is worried that we will preach at them or try to twist their arm to stay married, we won’t. We don’t hide the fact that we want marriages to be saved, but we respect everyone’s decision to stay married or get divorced. If you need tips on how to motivate your spouse to join, see the page below.

There's no way to get my spouse to attend the workshop.

Don’t give up. We still have an option for you. Our Solo Workshop is built for people whose spouses are not willing to attend.

We are already divorced. Can this workshop help?

Absolutely. Almost every month, we have at least one couple in attendance that is already divorced. In fact, we’ve hosted couples that had been divorced for as long as 10 years, and we have experienced many couples who remarried after attending the workshop.

My spouse had an affair and is still in love with the other person. Is this workshop for me?

Yes! Affairs are the most common marriage issue we see at our workshop, and we’ve had a lot of success helping couples through that. Many staff members have experienced the same thing in their marriage, and their testimonies are extremely helpful.

There hasn’t been an affair, we are just extremely unhappy. Is this workshop for us?

Absolutely. This workshop is designed for all types of marriage issues, not just affairs. We will address all the ways to rebuild your relationship and fall in love all over again. We will also teach you how to prevent your marriage from ever being affected by an affair.

What does the workshop cover?

The workshop covers four big things:

  • How to fall in love again. Our 4-step LovePath teaches how people fall in love and fall out of love, and how to use it to rescue your marriage even if only one of you follows it. If an affair is involved, a powerful section covers how affairs happen and how they end, told by people who have lived it.
  • How to find peace. If you are still deciding whether to save the marriage, you will learn what you need to feel at peace with whatever you choose.
  • Tools to stop conflict. An in-depth assessment gives you a road map to transform how you and your spouse communicate and resolve conflict, which also helps you co-parent.
  • New hope and a plan. You leave with a game plan for moving forward and a deeper understanding of yourself.
Is coaching included in the price of the workshop?

Yes! Most workshop tiers include one-on-one sessions with one of our Marriage Helper Certified Coaches. You can choose which coach you want to work with based on your situation and their style of coaching.

Is membership included in the price of the workshop?

Yes! Most workshop tiers include membership with our courses and online support.

Who leads the workshops?

Our workshops are led by Dr. Joe Beam, David Mathews, Nathan Grounds, Jamie Gagnon, and Jared Pratt. All of them want to empower you to save your marriage. You can work with a coach by yourself, with your spouse, or have your spouse work with a coach.

Coaching

What is coaching?

Marriage Helper coaching connects you with a trained marriage coach who offers personalized guidance, practical strategies, and encouragement to help you save and strengthen your relationship. Coaching is available exclusively to active members.

How much is coaching?

Our one-on-one coaching is available once you are a member of our Save My Marriage monthly program or a Workshop client, so that you have all the resources needed to make the most of your sessions. Once you are a member, sessions are $135 each. You can learn more about the workshop programs below.

How long are coaching sessions?

Each coaching session is 50 minutes long. You are able to participate with video or just audio.

How do rescheduling and cancellations work?

There are no refunds on coaching sessions. You may reschedule your session any time prior to 48 hours before the session by using the "Reschedule" link inside the email you received confirming your appointment.

Can't I just get advice from friends or family?

I’ll be honest with you, your family and friends love you- and want the very best for you! Because of this, their advice (although well intended) usually does not provide the objectivity you need. And, much of what they say may be rooted in their own experiences or experiences they’ve heard from others... and this is why getting help from an outside, unbiased perspective can help so much! A marriage helper coach will give you objective feedback based on thousands of hours of working with marriages like yours.

What specific things can coaches help with?

Some of the most common things our coaches help with. Every coach walks alongside you and helps in the best way they can.

  • Knowing where to start in saving your marriage
  • Getting your spouse to attend one of our workshops
  • Grieving a separation or divorce
  • Getting past the pain of infidelity
  • Dealing with guilt
  • Forgiveness
  • Becoming a better version of yourself
  • Knowing how to reconcile
When are coaches available?

Our marriage coaches are available most weekdays during U.S. Central Time, with select evening slots to accommodate different schedules. Sessions are easy to book, and many clients are able to schedule within just a few days, sometimes as soon as the next day, so you can get timely support without long waits.

What is Meet a Member?

During these interviews, we talk about what the member is doing for their PIES, what successes they have had and what their current challenges are. We take questions from the audience and offer encouragement to those who are still in the struggle.

What are Reconciliation Interviews?

When a former client is reconciled and ready to talk about their crisis, everyone stops to listen! We ask thoughtful questions about how the crisis started, which programs were tried, what was most helpful, how things turned around, and what life is like now. The struggles were real and left a lasting impact, but these interviews are a way to turn that pain into something good!

What are Coach Conversations?

A freeform, non rehearsed talk between two coaches. The topics are picked by the guest coach. Conversations are raw and real!

What are Member Only Trainings?

Marriage Helper Leadership will do a deep dive into a topic by speaking to an expert. Members can ask questions during the show, and even influence the topic.

What is the Save My Marriage Starter Course?

It is our foundational program for the spouse who wants to save the marriage, especially when the other spouse is disengaged, reluctant, or involved in an affair. It runs 10 to 12 weeks with a workbook, a private community, and weekly group support calls, and it gives full credit toward the Couples Workshop. It teaches:

  • Pushes and pulls: stopping the behaviors that drive your spouse away and growing the ones that draw them back
  • Five reactions to avoid, like operating from panic, fear, or anger
  • Personal growth that benefits you whatever the outcome
  • A clear plan, and real hope for the future
What is the Foundations Course?

The Foundations Course equips you with the core principles and practical steps to navigate a marriage crisis, grow personally, and work toward a stronger relationship, even when your spouse is not yet ready for direct help. It is similar to Save My Marriage but geared slightly more for couples, and it is given to Couples Workshop clients as a pre-workshop toolkit. It covers:

  • Pushes and pulls: the behaviors that drive a spouse away and the ones that draw them closer
  • The LovePath System and PIES attraction: becoming your best self physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually
  • The power of acceptance, and how to be a safe place for your spouse
  • Handling mistakes with course correction instead of panic
  • Personal growth that benefits you whatever the outcome
What do the calm, clarity, and boundaries toolkits cover?

These toolkits help you calm down so you can think clearly and make rational decisions instead of reacting from anxiety or fear. They also guide you in setting healthy boundaries to protect yourself and your family. They include:

  • Calm Toolkit
  • Clarity Toolkit
  • Boundaries Toolkit
  • Pushes and Pulls Toolkit
What is the LovePath and PIES attraction course?

The LovePath course teaches our four-step process for falling in love, staying in love, or falling back in love: Attraction, Acceptance, Attachment, and Aspiration. A big focus is growing your attraction through your PIES (physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual), becoming your best self for your own sake, which naturally creates a pull. You will also learn how acceptance, becoming a safe place for your spouse, is the key to love.

What toolkits help with affairs and limerence?

For those dealing with infidelity, these toolkits explain the types of affairs and the concept of limerence, and teach how to respond to a spouse in limerence by reducing pushes and growing pulls, without trying to teach your spouse about limerence directly. They include:

  • I Had An Affair: Recovery Toolkit
  • My Spouse Had An Affair: Recovery Toolkit
  • Understanding Limerence Toolkit
What is the resource library?

The resource library gives members on-demand access to:

  • The full archive of past live shows
  • Video Q&A sessions
What if my spouse isn’t interested, but I want to join?

That’s okay. Many people begin membership on their own. You’ll still gain tools and insights that can positively impact your marriage, even if your spouse isn’t participating yet.

Do I need to attend a workshop before taking certain courses?

Yes. A few advanced toolkits (such as the Reconciliation Toolkit and Spark Toolkit) are only available after attending a workshop. This is to ensure your marriage has the right foundation first, otherwise, these sensitive topics could do more harm than good.

How much time do I need to commit each week?

Our courses are self-paced, so you can go as fast or slow as you need. Many people spend just 30, 60 minutes per week, while others dive deeper and spend more time engaging with the resources and community.

What if I’m not tech-savvy?

We’ve made our membership platform simple to use, and our support team is here to help if you run into any issues. If you can watch a video or join a Zoom call, you’ll be able to use everything we offer.

General

Why should I trust Marriage Helper?

We know that you’ve probably been hurt by others in the past who promise to save your marriage, only to find information that doesn’t work or drives your spouse further away. We understand if you’re hesitant. At Marriage Helper, we seek to save marriages and strengthen families by teaching principles that you can apply to your specific situation. Every marriage is different, and there’s no 3-step plan that is going to work for every single marriage. That’s why we created the Couples Turnaround Workshop. It teaches you principles that will work for any situation you might face in your marriage. We’ve been helping marriages for 20 years. We’d love to help yours, too.

How long does it take to see results?

Every marriage is different, but many people see small changes right away when they begin applying the principles. That said, rebuilding a marriage takes time and patience, often months or years. Our goal is lasting transformation, not quick fixes.

Are your principles based on research?

Yes. Everything we teach is grounded in solid, peer-reviewed research on relationships and human behavior, not gimmicks, tactics, or manipulation.

What if I’ve already tried counseling and it didn’t work?

Many of our members come to us after counseling hasn’t helped. Our approach is different, we focus on practical tools, real-life application, and principles that work whether one or both spouses are engaged.

Do you guarantee results?

We can’t guarantee outcomes, because ultimately both spouses make their own choices. What we can guarantee is that our principles are proven, ethical, and have helped thousands of people turn their marriages around, even when it seemed impossible.

Can my marriage really be saved?

Yes. We believe that any marriage can be saved, no matter how broken it may seem. While not every marriage will be saved (since both spouses ultimately make their own choices), we’ve seen thousands of couples restore their relationships, even when divorce papers were filed, trust was shattered, or one spouse had completely checked out.

Does Marriage Helper only work if both spouses are involved?

No. Many of our courses and resources are designed for the “solo spouse”, the one who is willing to take the first steps even if their partner isn’t on board yet. Real change can begin with just one person making positive shifts in how they show up in the relationship.

What if my spouse says they don’t love me anymore?

Feelings can change over time, and many people confuse temporary emotions (like limerence or resentment) with permanent loss of love. With the right principles, it’s possible to reignite connection and rebuild real, lasting love, even if it feels like it’s gone.

What if my spouse is having an affair?

Affairs are devastating, but they don’t have to mean the end of your marriage. We offer specialized courses that help you understand why affairs happen, how to navigate the pain, and what steps can lead to healing and reconciliation.

Can you help if we’ve already separated or filed for divorce?

Yes. Many couples come to us in the middle of separation or even after divorce papers have been filed. With the right tools and commitment, reconciliation is still possible.

Is everything online, or do you have in-person options?

Most of our membership perks and courses are online, but we also offer in-person workshops a few times per year for those who prefer face-to-face connection.

Is Marriage Helper faith-based?

While our founders are people of faith, the principles we teach are grounded in research and work for people of all backgrounds and beliefs. We serve individuals and couples from every walk of life.

Still have a question?

We read every message. Tell us what's going on and we'll point you to the right next step.
